U.S. History classes
The library media specialists collaborated with Mr. Anderson to create an engaging and interactive activity with World War II topics. Each student had a WWII topic/section; they completed the three part assignment to communicate their findings and create discussion using the Voicethread. (See handout for information – Voicethread).

Middle East, Christianity
Students in the Middle East Studies class created an online book using a wiki (wikispaces.com). In groups, students collaborated to compile the important facts related to the religion and how it should be presented in the wiki format. Each team member contributed and edited the book.
Mr. Scardino, U.S. History Class
Students created podcasts about important historical events of the 1920’s and 1930’s. In small groups, students found information about important historical events that impacted the two decades from the LMC online databases. Student used audacity software and public domain music to creatively develop their podcast. The following are four examples of student radio programs.

12/2007: Students in Contemporary Issues created a Public Service Announcement for a specific issue they researched throughout the semester. Students were required to have a two minute video using Windows Movie Maker or iMovie. Music and images must be public domain to follow copyright guidelines for publishing to the web.
